HYDROUS ALUMINUM SILICATE – BURGESS NO. 98 is an ultra fine particle size, higher brightness hydrous kaolin clay that exhibits excellent tint strength and dispersion. BURGESS NO. 98 is a well ground, premium extender of TiO2 in water based, solvent or alkyd semigloss, satin, and gloss paints.

CALCINED ALUMINUM SILICATE – BURGESS OPTIPOZZ is a high reactivity metakaolin produced by a patented process. Burgess OPTIPOZZ increases chemical resistance and durability, and reduces shrinkage. An OPTIPOZZ mix design will yield higher initial and long term strength. Additionally, the use of OPTIPOZZ will result in reduced efflorescence. Our strict process control allows for better whiteness and a clean color with outstanding batch to batch consistency. The use of OPTIPOZZ will eliminate the undertone associated with other pozzolans. BURGESS OPTIPOZZ is classified as a CLASS N POZZOLAN under ASTM C-618.

CALCINED ALUMINUM SILICATE – BURGESS OPTIWHITE is a premium whiteness flash calcined extender for TiO2 exhibiting excellent GE Brightness used extensively in First Line interior/exterior flat or low sheen water based and alkyd paint systems. BURGESS OPTIWHITE exhibits excellent whiteness retention and hiding when embedded in coatings and polymers. BURGESS OPTIWHITE offers excellent dispersion, high hiding, and improved film properties. BURGESS OPTIWHITE may be used in combination with an ultrafine particle size hydrous clay – NO. 28/NO. 98 to produce a satin finish sheen paint.

CALCINED ALUMINUM SILICATE – BURGESS OPTIWHITE MX is a flash calcined clay exhibiting very good GE Brightness and excellent extension of TiO2, whiteness, touchup, and tint strength. BURGESS OPTIWHITE MX is used extensively in flat or low sheen interior/exterior trade sales water-based, alkyd, or solvent-based coatings by reducing the amount of TiO2 and lowering raw material costs while maintaining opacity, whiteness, and tint strength.

CALCINED ALUMINUM SILICATE – BURGESS OPTIWHITE P is a flash calcined clay used extensively to extend TiO2 in flat interior trade sales paints which do not require maximum whiteness. Burgess OPTIWHITE P exhibits good GE Brightness, improves touchup, scrub, and burnish resistance. BURGESS OPTIWHITE P exhibits excellent opacity and flattening and a slightly off-white color. Burgess OPTIWHITE P lowers raw material cost while maintaining opacity.
