CALCINED ALUMINUM SILICATE – BURGESS OPTIWHITE UF is a state of the art extender with superior brightness, delivering unsurpassed wet and dry opacity. It is derived from ultrapure hydrous feedstock, then further processed using flash calcination. During flash calcination, particles remain separated which prevents the formation of aggregates, allowing for fine particle distribution. These fine particles have internal air voids that cannot be wet out thus achieving superior light refractivity.

HYDROUS ALUMINUM SILICATE – BURGESS POLYCLAY is a fine particle size, medium brightness hydrous kaolin clay used in inks. BURGESS POLYCLAY is the neutral version of Burgess NO. 10.

HYDROUS ALUMINUM SILICATE – BURGESS THERMO GLACE H is a delaminated, fine particle size, medium brightness hydrous kaolin clay. BURGESS THERMO GLACE H is used in primers and trade sales coatings for the reduction of mudcracking (microcracking due to film stress) and reduction of permeability.

HYDROUS ALUMINUM SILICATE – THERMO-GLACE + is a high aspect ratio, delaminated kaolin used in polymers to enhance the physical properties. THERMO-GLACE + can replace talc and competitive kaolins in polypropylene and other applications while maintaining or improving physicals. THERMO-GLACE + can be used in primers and architectural coatings to reinforce the film and reduce permeability. In primers, it can enhance enamel hold-out and improve stain blocking properties.

HYDROUS ALUMINUM SILICATE – THERMO-GLACE HB is a unique fine particle size delaminated hydrous kaolin clay processed from deposits in Central Georgia supplied in a densified form that is suitable for dispersion in WATER BASED systems which exhibits excellent brightness. THERMO-GLACE HB is an excellent extender of TiO2 in matte/flat and satin gloss emulsion paints.
