SIVO SOL Technology for coating systems – Dynasylan SIVO 110 is a multifunctional, basically VOC-free, water-borne sol-gel system. It is composed of organofunctional silanes and functionalized, nanoscale SiO2 particles. Dynasylan SIVO 110 is an opaque to milky, colorless to slightly yellow, low viscous liquid. Dynasylan SIVO 110 can be diluted in water and a variety of common organic solvents. Besides reactive silanol groups it also contains epoxy functionalities based on Si-bonded epoxy groups.

Water-borne inorganic-organic binder for two-pack zinc dust paints – Dynasylan SIVO 140 is an acidic silane based, fully hydrolysed and almost VOC-free binder. It can be thinned with water or water-soluble organic solvents. Dynasylan SIVO 140 can be formulated with fillers and pigments. Formulations based on Dynasylan SIVO 140 cure at room temperature. Dynasylan SIVO 140 is water-borne and therefore more environmentally friendly than traditional zinc silicate coatings based on silicic acid esters.

Water-borne organic inorganic binder and additive for the formulation of metal surface treatment systems – Dynasylan SIVO 160 is a water-borne storage stable silane based sol-gel system for the formulation of inorganic surface treatment primers. As part of the SIVO SOL Technology, it features all the benefits of the other well established products of this series. These are the absence of heavy metals, fluorides, and solvents. It is designed to have a low volatile organic content. Due to its polymeric nature, it is characterized by a high reactivity. This is demonstrated by its extraordinary low curing temperature of 20 to 80 °C which represents a major breakthrough for water-borne sol-gel systems. Dynasylan SIVO 160 is a clear to slightly opaque, colorless to slightly yellow, low viscosity liquid.

Ethyl polysilicate – Dynasylan SIVO 550 is a concentrated form of silica in liquid state, based on an ethylpolysilicate with a high silicon dioxide content of aprox. 46%. Dynasylan SIVO 550 is formed in the presence of water from tetraethyl silicate (Si[OEt]4) by partial hydrolysis of the ethoxy groups to hydroxyl groups and subsequent condensation with formation of siloxane bonds (-Si-O-Si-). Properties of Dynasylan SIVO 550: is a colorless to slightly yellow low-viscosity liquid; has a high Boiling Point (> 290° C); shows a high Flash Point offering safe handling; releases less VOC compared to traditional ethylpolysilicates.
