Highly Effective Preservatives for Use in Household and Industrial Products – Many consumer and industrial products are susceptible to microbial contamination which can affect the appearance, odor, and performance of the products. The preservatives’ broad-spectrum activity, excellent physical and chemical compatibility and low toxicity at recommended use levels provide formulators with an economical, effective, and environmentally acceptable alternative to other commercial preservatives.

Kathon Fuel 15 Biocide contains a 3:1 ratio mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-3(2H)isothiazolone and 2-methyl-3(2H) isothiazolone, (abbreviated name CMIT/MIT). Kathon Fuel 15 Biocide is a solution of the technical grade of the active ingredient, CMIT/MIT, in dipropylene glycol at a nominal value of 1.5 % of active substance. Kathon Fuel 15 Biocide is effective at low use levels, against microbial species commonly encountered in fuel systems, including bacteria, yeast, and mold. Kathon Fuel 15 Biocide is designed to cause inhibition of microbial growth upon contact and quickly results in cell death. Kathon Fuel 15 Biocide is effective in systems containing both fuel and water. Unlike other fuel treatment biocides, the active ingredients in Kathon Fuel 15 Biocide are not deactivated by water.

Liquid preparation of 5-Chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (CMIT) and 2-Methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT) – KATHON LX 1.5 % is a liquid preservative containing the isothiazolone active ingredients CMIT/MIT. The product inhibits and controls bacterial and fungal growth in industrial aqueous compositions such as latex paints, industrial coatings, polymer latices, specialty pigments, and building materials. It does not offer dry film protection against fungi or algae.

In-can Preservative for Household and Industrial & Institutional Products – Koralone B-119 Preservative is an effective preservative recommended and widely used in the preservation of household and industrial and institutional cleaning and laundry products. It is a clear, 19% active, aqueous solution of 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT).

Liquid preparation of 50 % 2-Methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT) – KORDEK LX5000 BIOCIDE is a liquid preservative containing a 50 % concentration of the active ingredient 2-Methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT) in water. The product inhibits and controls bacterial and fungal growth in industrial aqueous compositions such as polymer latexes, printing fluids, adhesives and tackifiers, dispersed pigments, and metalworking fluids, and is suitable for both – tankside addition as well as metalworking fluid concentrates.
