Sasol Chemicals ALFONIC 1216CO-9 Ethoxylate is a biodegradable nonionic based on a linear primary alcohol formulated to simulate that derived from coconut oil. ALFONIC 1216CO-9 Ethoxylate is semi-solid at room temperature, essentially 100% active and has the following structural formula: CH3(CH2)x(OCH2CH2)9OH where ‘x’ varies between 11 and 15. The narrow range version of this ethoxylate made using Sasol Chemicals patented NOVEL catalyst technology is also available.

Sasol Chemicals ALFONIC 1412-3 Ethoxylate is a biodegradable, nonionic surfactant derived from linear primary 12 – 14 carbon number alcohol. ALFONIC 1412-3 Ethoxylate is liquid at room temperature and essentially 100% active. The narrow range version of this ethoxylate made using Sasol Chemicals patented NOVEL catalyst technology is also available.

Sasol Chemicals ISOFOL alcohols are primary, saturated alcohols with defined branching of the carbon chain. Such alcohols are chemically described as 2-alkyl-1-alkanols and are also referred to as Guerbet alcohols. ISOFOL alcohols are high purity alcohols which offer excellent oxidative and color stability. Additionally, the twin 100% linear alkyl branches of the ISOFOL alcohols give a lower viscosity and better biodegradability than dimer alcohols derived from oxo-alcohols. The unique chemical structure of the ISOFOL alcohols also provides good solubility and solvency.

LIALET 125-7 is a fatty alcohol polyethyleneglycol ether, based on LIAL 125 and ethylene oxide (about 7 moles). LIALET 125-7 can be used as detergent product in the wool scouring process, as degreasing in leather treatment, as emulsifier in agrochemicals and agriculture applications.
