Fischer-Tropsch & Specialty Waxes
The Wax Division of Sasol Chemicals, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, is a specialist in paraffin waxes, microcrystalline waxes, synthetic Fischer-Tropsch waxes, and petroleum jellies, manufactured at facilities in Germany, South Africa, Egypt, and the United States. Its wax products serve candles, adhesives, inks, paints and coatings, rubber and tire, paper and packaging, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and road-construction applications.
SASOLWAX M6D is a synthetic wax produced using the Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) Fischer-Tropsch technology. It expands the existing portfolio by bridging the product range between liquid paraffins and hard GTL Fischer-Tropsch waxes with congealing points above 80 °C. SASOLWAX M6D is mineral oil free by nature, and as all Sasol’s GTL Fischer-Tropsch waxes not defined as polymer and therefore not classified as microplastic.
