CF is a wet ground Hydrated Kaolinitic Muscovite (HKM) mica, processed specifically for cosmetic filler applications. It’s uniquely refined from SEPM’s exclusive mineral source, which results in a powder with a very neutral color and smooth texture. The hydroxyl-rich siliceous flake surface is inherently extremely well disposed towards treatment by alkyl silanes for enhanced interfacial binding in application matrices. Proprietary milling and classification achieves a high degree of delamination, which translates into a high aspect ratio product. The narrow particle size distribution of CF products imparts superior slip, spreadability, and a high degree of gloss and transparency.
