Its major features and applications are:; Protection against surface defects such as gloss reduction, cracking, blistering, delamination, and color change of coatings and sealants.; Broad UV absorbance makes SONGSORB CS B5151 suitable for a wide range of coatings for wood, plastics, and metal.; Universal blend recommended especially for exterior water – and solvent- based applications in industrial and decorative clear coatings with a layer thickness from 30 – 60 μm.; The high thermal stability and permanence makes it suitable for coatings exposed to high bake temperatures and extreme environmental conditions.; Good miscibility with the most commonly used paint solvents. The water solubility is less than 0.01 % and the use of SONGSORB CS B5151 in waterborne coatings might require its predilution in a water miscible co-solvent.

It is especially suited for use in silver halide photographic requirements; High photostability and good thermal stability provides longer protection in industrial coatings and decorative clear coatings with a layer thickness from 30 – 60 micrometer; The synergistic combination imparts superior coating protection against gloss reduction, cracking, blistering, delamination, and color change; Good miscibility in concentrations higher than 50% with the most commonly used solvents.

SONGSORB CS B5424 is a liquid viscous tri-blend of a primary antioxidant, an formamidine UV-absorber, and a hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS).
