SILVET 220-20-E is a fine particle size aluminum pigment produced in pellet form to reduce the potential for generating airborne pigment particles and to improve ease of handling. SILVET grades with an “E” suffix are more economical than SILVET “E1” grades and have similar ease of handling, but have slightly duller metallic effects and require more aggressive processing conditions for complete dispersion. This is an economical grade and can be used to create a gray masstone metallic appearance with good opacity at low cost. This grade is not recommended for use with chromatic pigments as it will not produce clean color effects. Although this grade is based on a leafing aluminum pigment, it will not exhibit leafing characteristics in most plastic applications. SILVET 320-20-J is a small particle size, bright, leafing aluminum pigment based on cornflake geometry. It is typically used in solvent, liquid flexographic and gravure inks where good coverage and strong metallic effects are required. SILVET 320-20-J is provided in pellet form carried in an aldehyde resin that is compatible with most solvent soluble ink resins. SILVET “J” grades are soluble in ester and ketone solvents but not soluble in alcohols. Leafing; Aluminum pigment granules

SILVET 430-30-E1 is a coarse particle size, bright, aluminum glitter pigment produced in pellet form to reduce the potential for generating airborne particles and to improve ease of handling. The pigment flake has a polished cornflake geometry. SILVET granules are produced by a low shear process for easy dispersion. This grade can be used to simulate metallic effects similar to those of 100 micron by 100 micron chopped foil pigments. This grade has a narrow particle size distribution range and will produce coarse glitter effects when used alone or with chromatic pigments or dyes. Due to its narrow distribution range this grade can be used to create metallic effects with minimal flow line appearance.
