EP Minerals, headquartered in Reno, Nevada and part of U.S. Silica, has mined diatomaceous earth since 1945 and produces diatomaceous earth, perlite, and calcium bentonite clay. These industrial minerals serve as filter aids, absorbents, and functional additives across the food and beverage, filtration, agriculture, and coatings industries.
Celatom Perlite (CP) is expanded, milled perlite filter aid from naturally-occurring volcanic glass, with very low bulk density and non-detectable crystalline silica; effective for high-throughput, moderate-clarity filtration. Median particle diameter is 24 microns and permeability is 0.65 darcy.
