Dynasylan 9116

Dynasylan 9116

hexadecyltriethoxysilane (long-chain alkyl silane, hydrophobic)

Hexadecyltriethoxysilane – Dynasylan 9116 is a monomeric long-chain alkylfunctional silane. Dynasylan 9116 is a clear colourless liquid and soluble in common non-polar organic solvents (e.g. petroleum ether, toluene). However its low volatility and viscosity make Dynasylan 9116 an easy-to-handle additive.

Dynasylan 9896

Dynasylan 9896

oligomeric short-chain alkyl silane (hydrophobic)

Oligomeric short-chain alkylfunctional silane – Dynasylan 9896 is an oligomeric short-chain alkylfunctional silane. Dynasylan 9896 is a clear, colourless to slightly yellow liquid and soluble in common organic solvents (e.g. petroleum ether, toluene, alcohol). Because of its low volatility and viscosity Dynasylan 9896 is an easy-to-handle additive.

Dynasylan A

Dynasylan A

tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS)

Tetraethylorthosilicate – Dynasylan A is the ethyl ester of orthosilicic acid. In the literature it is frequently also referred to under the name TEOS (tetraethoxysilane). Dynasylan A is a colourless, low-viscosity liquid with SiO2 content of 28.5%. Use requires acid- or alkali-catalysed hydrolysis. Since all 4 ethoxy groups are able to participate in this reaction, Dynasylan A is regarded as tetrafunctional. Hydrolysis leads to silanol groups which, in a subsequent condensation reaction, form very stable siloxane bonds (-Si-O-Si-). Condensation starts before hydrolysis is complete. During storage of these hydrolysates condensation, continues until a gel is formed. The rate of gelation depends on the concentration of water.

Dynasylan AMEO

Dynasylan AMEO

3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (primary aminosilane)

3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane – Dynasylan AMEO is a bifunctional silane possessing a reactive primary amino group and hydrolyzable ethoxysilyl groups. Dynasylan AMEO is a colorless to slightly yellowish low-viscosity liquid with an amine-like odor. It is soluble in alcohols, and aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons. In addition Dynasylan AMEO is completely and immediately soluble in water (with reaction).

Dynasylan AMEO-T

Dynasylan AMEO-T

aminopropyltriethoxysilane blend (primary/secondary aminosilane)

Proprietary aminosilane composition – Dynasylan AMEO-T is a blend of primary and secondary aminofunctional silanes. The blend contains more than 90 wt% of 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane. Aminofunctional silanes posses a reactive amine group and a hydrolyzable ethoxysilyl group. Dynasylan AMEO-T is a yellowish liquid with an amine-like odor. It is soluble in alcohols as well as aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons.
