Dynasylan AMMO

Dynasylan AMMO

aminosilane (3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane)

3-Aminopropyltrimethoxysilane – Dynasylan AMMO is a bifunctional organosilane possessing a reactive primary amine and hydrolyzable inorganic methoxysilyl groups. The dual nature of its reactivity allows Dynasylan AMMO to bind chemically to both inorganic materials (e.g. glass, metals fillers) and organic polymers (e.g. thermosets, thermoplastics, and elastomers), thus functioning as an adhesion promoter and a surface modifier. Dynasylan AMMO is a clear, colorless liquid having an amine-like odor which is soluble in alcohols and aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons.

Dynasylan BDAC

Dynasylan BDAC

acetoxysilane adhesion promoter for RTV silicones (di-t-butoxydiacetoxysilane)

Di-t-butoxydiacetoxysilane – Dynasylan BDAC is a clear, colorless to yellowish liquid, possessing reactive acetoxy groups. In the presence of water, the acetoxy groups of Dynasylan BDAC hydrolyze easily and form reactive silanol groups, which can bond to a variety of substrates. During hydrolysis acetic acid is released. Dynasylan BDAC is an effective adhesion promoter for room-temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone sealants.

Dynasylan BTSE

Dynasylan BTSE

bipodal alkylsilane crosslinker (bis(triethoxysilyl)ethane)

Bis(triethoxysilyl)ethane – Dynasylan BTSE is the only commercially available bipodal alkylsilane. It is used in numerous applications where its nature as an excellent crosslinking agent is crucial. Its use usually requires acid- or alkali-catalysed hydrolysis. Since all six ethoxy groups are able to participate in this reaction, Dynasylan BTSE is regarded as hexafunctional. Hydrolysis leads to silanol groups which, in a subsequent condensation reaction, form very stable siloxane bonds (-Si-O-Si-). Condensation starts before hydrolysis is complete. During storage of these hydrolysates, condensation continues until a gel is formed. The rate of gelation depends on the concentration of water.

Dynasylan DAMO

Dynasylan DAMO

diaminosilane (N-2-aminoethyl-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane)

N-2-Aminoethyl-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane – Dynasylan DAMO is a diamino-functional silane which acts as an adhesion promoter between inorganic materials (for example glass, metals, and fillers) and organic polymers (thermosets, thermoplastics, and elastomers) and as a surface modifier. Dynasylan DAMO is a colourless to slightly yellowish liquid with an amine-like odour which is soluble in alcohols and aliphatic as well as aromatic hydrocarbons.
