ITAMIN BG 141 is a benzoguanamine-formaldehyde resin etherified with n-butanol for glazes for the Can-Coating sector where food compliance is required for the “Food Packaging” sector in compliance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011, for the extreme wettability of the pigments and the high brilliance. It is also used in baked enamels when you want to obtain products that are highly resistant to overfiring without loss of brilliance or yellowing. Products formulated with ITAMIN BG 141 provide excellent adhesion, giving the support shine and flow with excellent resistance to sterilization and good resistance to aggressive chemicals. ITAMIN BG 141 has proven compatibility with epoxy resins and epoxy esters, polyester resins for the coil-coating sector, acrylic resins, nitrocellulose. ITAMIN BG 141 is soluble in glycol ethers, esters, ether esters, ketones, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons. However, given the wide range of possible partners we recommend carrying out preliminary compatibility and solubility tests.

ITAMIN BG 141 AF is a reactive benzoguanamine Aromatics Free resin suitable for can-coating enamels with excellent wetting properties and high gloss. ITAMIN BG 141 AF is also suitable for stoving enamels with high overbaking resistance. The film obtained with ITAMIN BG 141 AF has the following characteristics: – high gloss and flowing; – good sterilization and chemical resistance; – good adhesion.

ITAMIN BG 142 is a benzoguanamine-formaldehyde resin etherified with Butanol, recommended for Can-Coating where food compliance is required for the “Food Packaging” sector in compliance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011, for baked enamels when want to obtain products resistant to overcooking without loss of brightness or yellowing; furthermore, its correct dosage allows to improve the level of brightness, the body of the film, and the resistance to sterilization, even in products dried at low temperatures (150 – 160°C). It is also used for Coil-Coating systems for its elasticity associated with the extreme wettability of the pigments and for the brilliance. ITAMIN BG 142 is compatible with nitrocellulose, epoxy resins and epoxy esters, saturated polyesters, acrylics, alkyds; it is also compatible with the other amine resins of the ITAMIN series, as well as with methylated amine resins; appears to be soluble in glycol-ethers, esters, ether-esters, ketones, aromatics. However, given the wide range of possible partners it is advisable to verify compatibility and solubility with preliminary tests.

n-butanol benzoguanamine resin – ITAMIN BG 143 is a benzoguanamine/formaldehyde resin suitable for coil coatings with excellent wetting pigments property and high gloss. ITAMIN BG 143 is also suitable for stoving enamels with overcoating resistance and without gloss retention and yellowing. Films obtained have the following characteristics : – high sterilization resistance; – high gloss and flowing; – good flexibility and reactivity; – good chemical resistance. ITAMIN BG 143 is compatible with epoxies, polyesters, alkyds, acrylics, and nitrocellulose. ITAMIN BG 143 is soluble in alcohols, acetates, ketones, aromatics, and aliphatics. However, due to the huge number of potential partners, preliminary tests are recommended.

Reactive n-butylated melanine resin – ITAMIN M 174 is suitable for stoving enamels and in combination with short-oil alkyd resins it increases solid content. ITAMIN M 174 is also suitable in combination with acrylic resins for stoving enamels with high chemical and outdoor resistance. Product based on ITAMIN M 174 are characterized by: – high gloss and good flowing; – good chemical resistance; – high solid content. ITAMIN M 174 is compatible with ITAMIN resins, short and medium-oil alkyds, saturated polyesters, acrylic resins. ITAMIN M 174 is soluble in alcohols, esthers, ketones; it is partially soluble in aromatics and aliphatics. However, due to the huge number of potential partners, preliminary tests are recommended.
