Saturated polyester for PU coatings with high OH – FTALON 1651 is a saturated polyester suitable with aliphatic isocyanates (URONAL NL, NL100), thus obtaining excellent gloss retention, outdoor resistance, good chemical and rubbing resistance. FTALON 1651’s main applications are: car-refinishing, aeronautical protective coatings, railway carriage paints, PU enamels for industrial floor. FTALON 1651 is compatible with FTALON resins, nitrocellulose, Vynilite VAGH, phtalic plasticizer. FTALON 1651 is soluble in acetates, ketones, glycol-ethers; aromatics can be used mixed with acetates or ketones (do not use Butyl acetate alone); it is insoluble in aliphatics and alcohols. However, due to the huge number of potential partners, preliminary tests are recommended.

Hydroxylated polyester for PU systems – FTALON 1680 is a hard and reactive polyester suitable in combination with URONAL resins for industrial and car refinishing enamels. Products based on FTALON 1680 are characterized by: hardness; mechanical resistance; flexibility; high body; excellent gloss; outdoor resistance. FTALON 1680 is compatible with FTALON resins, nitrocellulose, vinyl resins, phtalic plasticizer. FTALON 1680 is soluble in acetates, ketones, glycol-ethers, aromatics; it is insoluble in aliphatics. However, due to the huge number of potential partners, preliminary tests are recommended.

FTALON 1680/70 ABT is a short oil alkyd resin from branched fatty acids, it is used in combination with isocyanates of the URONAL series for 2K systems for car refinish and industry. FTALON 1680 generates hard mechanically flexible and resistant films, with good light fastness resistance and atmospheric agents, even under the effect of severe climatic conditions. FTALON 1680 is compatible with the homonymous resins of the FTALON series, with nitrocellulose and with vinyl resins and / or with phthalate-based or free plasticizers. FTALON 1680 is soluble in acetates, ketones, glycol ethers, and aromatic solvents while it is insoluble in aliphatic solvents. However, it is recommended to carry out preliminary tests to avoid incompatibility effects.

Saturated polyester for glossy and matt PU coatings – FTALON 27/70 ABT is a saturated polyester that acquires the following properties if combined with proper isocyanates: fast dust-free, excellent solvent flash-off, fast drying-time, yellowing resistance, excellent mechanical resistance, and surface film hardness (panels can be stacked after 24hrs) FTALON 27/70 ABT is compatible with FTALON 28, 29,32, 34, 38, 41, 42, 43, 45, TN; it is not compatible with FTALON 60. FTALON 27/70 ABT is soluble in aromatics, acetates, ketones; it is insoluble in aliphatics and alcohols. However, due to the huge number of potential partners, preliminary tests are recommended.

Saturated polyester for wood, metal, and paper – FTALON 43 is a plasticizer for primers and matt finishes, in combination with URONAL B 51, B 55, KL and RA 50, with good mechanical resistance. FTALON 43 is suitable as plasticizer for brittle resins, obtaining good adhesion, mechanical resistance, and sanding. FTALON 43, used in pigmented primers provides good adhesion on wood and metal and fast hardening. FTALON 43 is compatible with FTALON resins, nitrocellulose, ITAMIN (M and BG), castor oil. FTALON 43 is soluble in aromatics, esthers, ketones; it is insoluble in aliphatics. However, due to the huge number of potential partners, preliminary tests are recommended.
