ITALESTER 011 is branched polyester bearing hydroxyl groups, solvent free. ITALESTER 011 is used in the formulation of flexible two-pack PU systems for wood finishing. ITALESTER 011 is used to improve the hardness and chemical resistances in polyurethane systems. The flexibility and adhesion is very good.

ITALESTER 052 is linear polyester bearing hydroxyl groups, solvent free. ITALESTER 052 can be used alone or in combination with other saturated polyesters to formulate two pack polyurethane coatings with very high flexibility for wood, metal, and plastics support. Is necessary in combination with isocynate, to have a good dry film, greatly overcrosslinked. ITALESTER 052 is used to improve the flexibility, toughness, and resistance to wear and abrasion of the paint films.

Saturated polyester for can and coil coatings – ITALESTER 203 is a saturated polyester with excellent properties for can and coil coatings. ITALESTER 203 can be mixed with methylated melamine (ITAMIN HM3) for coil coatings, with good outdoor resistance, adhesion, flexibility, and gloss retention. If mixed with benzoguanamine resins (ITAMIN BG 140; BG 141; BG 142; BG143; BG 145) ITALESTER 203 is suitable for outdoor can coatings (enamels and OPV) with high gloss, sterilization resistance, flexibility. ITALESTER 203 can also be mixed with blocked isocyanates (URONAL BN75) with excellent properties. ITALESTER 203 is compatible with ITAMIN resins and blocked isocyanates. ITALESTER 203 is soluble in glycol-ethers, ether-esters, ketones; it is partially soluble in aromatics; it is insoluble in aliphatics. However, due to the huge number of potential partners, preliminary tests are recommended.

ITALESTER 205 SND is a hydroxylated polyester for can coatings in combination with ITAMIN (M and BG) resins or with blocked isocyanates (URONAL BN 75). ITALESTER 205 SND is more flexible than ITALESTER 203 and has a good adhesion on crude steel, galvanized, and on aluminium and good sterilization resistance. ITALESTER 205 SND complies with European legislation for indirect food contact (Swiss Ordinance RS 817.023.21 Annex 6, Part A or B).

ITALESTER 218 SND is a saturated polyester suitable for sealers or OPV for can coatings in combination with benzoguanamine or melamine resins (ITAMIN M and BG). ITALESTER 218 SND is also suitable for coatings for coils (appliances, metallic structures, or primer for aluminium). ITALESTER 218 SND provides excellent chemical resistance and flexibility in combination with HMMM resins (ITAMIN HM). ITALESTER 218 SND can be used in combination with blocked isocyanates (URONAL BN75).
