ITAMIN M 177 is suitable for stoving enamels in combination with short-oil alkyds and polyesters. ITAMIN M 177 is also suitable in combination with acrylic resins for stoving enamels with high chemical and outdoor resistance. Products based on ITAMIN M 177 are characterized by: – high gloss and good flowing; – good chemical resistance; – medium/high reactivity; – low formaldehyde.

ITAMIN M 183 is suitable for industrial stoving and clear coatings for OEM thus providing: – excellent film hardness; – outdoor durability; – good flowing; – very good overspray compatibility. Due to its low viscosity, ITAMIN M 183 is suitable for high solids coatings.

n-butylated melamine/formaldehyde resin – ITAMIN M 184 is a medium/high reactive melamine resin suitable for stoving coatings, in combination of acrylics, saturated polyesters, or alkyds, with high solid and outstanding mechanical and chemical properties. ITAMIN M 184 can be used for automotive, can coatings, and roto-flexo inks. ITAMIN M 184 is compatible with short and medium oil alkyds, saturated polyesters, and thermosetting acrylics. ITAMIN M 184 is soluble in alcohols, esters, and ketones; it is partially soluble in aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. However, due to the huge number of potential partners, preliminary tests are recommended.

n-butylated melamine/formaldehyde resin – ITAMIN M 188 is a melamine resin for the stoving coatings in combination with acrylics, alkyds, saturated polyesters. It’s main applications where are: OEM for car bodies, both solid colours and clear coats; OEM for appliances and any other industrial good with outstanding flow, high surface gloss, and excellent mar resistance. The combination low viscosity/high solid is ideal for assembling high solid stoving coatings. ITAMIN M 188 has to be considered a melamine resin with medium/high reactivity. ITAMIN M 188 is compatible with ITAMIN range, with several ITALKID and SINTAL and has a limited compatibility with some saturated polyesters. . ITAMIN M 188 is soluble in esters, ketones, alcohols, and aromatic solvents. It is partially soluble in white spirit; it is not soluble in water. However, due to the huge number of potential partners, preliminary tests are recommended.

ITAMIN PM 3 is a partially methylated melamine resin with high molecular weight, high reactivity, and a very low percentage of free formaldehyde, also suitable for low temperature systems. ITAMIN PM 3 is used in applications that require very hard films. It is used to improve the hardness in coil coating in combination with HMMM. ITAMIN PM 3 is used in combination with short oil alkyd resins, oil-free polyesters, epoxies, and acrylics to formulate industrial, OEM, and can coatings paints. ITAMIN PM 3 can be used for both solvent-based and water-based paints. Use with a very reactive alkyd resin often leads to a sudden increase in viscosity. This phenomenon can be avoided by adding proportionate quantities of glycol-ethers or related acetates solvent based. Sufficient amounts of polar solvents are often present in water-based finishes to act as a stabilizer.
