Artic Mist

Artic Mist

reinforcing talc filler

Artic Mist is an off-white, high purity, extremely platy, very fine talc serving polymer, rubber, and coatings applications. Artic Mist is recommended for excellent stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability as well as improved impact strength and aesthetics in high performance plastics, plastic nucleation, foamed plastics, plastic films, and wire and cable applications. Artic Mist is used in plastics applications mainly for nucleation of semi-crystalline plastics, for foamed plastics or other applications where a high-performance powder talc is desired, while its compacted versions JetFil 625C is commonly used for reinforcement in polyolefins, including in automotives and appliances. Artic Mist is used in rubber applications as a reinforcing agent and processing aid. It also improves cut/tear resistance, reduces permeability, increases swell resistance, and improves the aging properties of rubber compounds. Artic Mist is used in coating, adhesive, and sealant formulations to improve the tensile strength, flexibility, and barrier properties of cured films. The ultrafine top size and high oil-absorption properties make Artic Mist a versatile post-manufacturing additive to adjust gloss of interior and exterior paint and coating formulations.

Aspen 200 FCC

Aspen 200 FCC

food-grade talc

Aspen 200 FCC is a high purity talc product designed for use in food, chewing gum, and nutraceutical applications. It is produced from a high-quality US talc ore source and is further beneficiated to keep the level of alkaline substances to a minimum. US microcrystalline talc is very compatible with gum base resins and imparts excellent rheology and mouth feel to the gum product. Aspen 200 FCC is manufactured in accordance with Food Chemical Codex purity standards for talc.

Cimpact 699

Cimpact 699

nucleating talc

Cimpact 699 is off-white, high purity, platy, ultrafine talc with excellent top-size control recommended for efficient crystal nucleation, as well as very good stiffness, HDT, dimensional stability, and improved impact strength and aesthetics in high performance plastics, and plastic films. Cimpact 699 is used in plastics mainly for nucleation of semi-crystalline plastics, such as polyolefins, polyamides, and polyesters. It could also be used to reinforce plastics while maintaining good impact resistance. In rubber applications, Cimpact 699 can be used to provide the best balance of reinforcement and processability, reduced compound viscosity, improved extrusion rate and quality, and reduced die swell and nerve. In thermoplastic elastomers, it reduces anisotropy of the compound while improves reinforcement, tear resistance and processability. Cimpact 699 also reduces permeability and improves aging properties of rubber compounds and thermoplastic elastomers.
