MAGRIS TALC

Nicron 674DT is a highly densified version of Nicron 674, which is an off-white, high purity, platy, ultrafine talc with excellent top-size control recommended for improved stiffness, HDT, dimensional stability, and aesthetics in high performance plastics and plastic films. Nicron 674DT is used in plastics applications, where its consistent quality and tight top particle size control improves the impact-to-stiffness ratio in polypropylene and automotive TPOs. It could also be used as an effective anti-block additive in thin gauge polyolefin films, and efficient nucleation agent for semi-crystalline polymers such as PE, PP, POM, polyamides, and polyesters. Nicron 674DT has a volumetric bagged density of about 50 lbs/ft3, which minimizes air infiltration and allows significant increase in throughput during plastics processing and compounding operations. It also flows better than powder grades and disperses easier than compacted grades of micronized talc.

Silverline 002 is off-white, high purity, platy talc that is used in different applications. In plastics, Silverline 002 is used in wood plastic composites (WPC), where it has been found to increase stiffness, reduce water absorption, increase heat distortion temperature, improve dimensional stability, and reduce creep in polyolefin and PVC based wood plastic composites. In feedstuffs and fertilizers, Silverline 002 is a superior anti-caking/flow control that improves handling characteristics. In agricultural and seed applications, Silverline 002 is an effective carrier and coater. Silverline 002 is approved for use in animal feeds by the Association of American Feed Control Officials under Reference IFN 8-16-378. Silverline 002 is also used as a parting agent for rolled asphalt, concrete forms, rubber goods, and wire and cable products. Silverline 002 is an excellent fluxing and processing additive for brick, clay pipe, roofing, and floor tile manufacture.

Silverline 202 is high purity engineered microcrystalline talc recommended where low viscosity build pigments are required. Silverline 202 enhances film strength and flexibility and provides barrier properties to improve corrosion resistance. Silverline 202 is also a high-efficiency flatting pigment that is an excellent choice for airless-spray architectural waterborne flat paints, providing excellent sheen control, scrub and burnish resistance, with minimal wear on airless spray equipment.

Silverline 303 is a high-purity microcrystalline talc product. Silverline 303 enhances film strength and flexibility and provides barrier properties in architectural and industrial primers to improve corrosion resistance and stain-blocking ability. Silverline 303 is also used in adhesive, sealant, caulk, joint compound, and auto body patch applications to provide rheology and reinforcement. Silverline 303 could also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agent to improve stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability. In rubber, it acts as a dusting/parting agent.
