MAGRIS TALC

Vertal 7 is a highly lamellar talc/carbonate mineral pigment. Vertal 7 provides a unique balance of prime pigment spacing (opacity), film reinforcement, and anti-cracking and barrier properties to architectural and decorative coatings. Vertal 7 is especially suited for waterborne paints, universal primers, stain-blocking primers, sealers, and undercoaters. Vertal 7 is also a good choice for low-VOC alkyd primers. Vertal 7 could also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agent to improve stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability. In rubber, it acts as a dusting/parting agent.

Vertal 77 is a highly lamellar talc/carbonate mineral pigment that provides a unique balance of prime pigment spacing (opacity), film reinforcement, and anti-cracking and barrier properties to architectural and decorative coatings. Vertal 77 is especially suited for waterborne primers, stain-blocking primers, sealers, and undercoaters where a higher brightness and lamellar mineral pigment is required.

Vertal 92 is off-white, extremely platy talc that is primarily used as a functional mineral pigment in auto body compounds, caulks, putties, and sealants. Vertal 92 is also used as a dusting/parting agent in rubber compounding and for rubber goods, rolled asphalt, and concrete forms. It could also be used as a cost-effective reinforcing agent in black polypropylene compounds to improve stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability.

Vertal 97 is off-white, extremely platy talc that is primarily used as a functional mineral pigment in auto body compounds, caulks, putties, and sealants. Vertal AF is a general-purpose talc/carbonate mineral additive, suitable for a broad range of applications, including polymers, ceramics, roofing, and asphalt. The benefits of Vertal AF include improved dimensional stability, cross-flow mechanical performance, and flexural stiffness. It improves wet out of other additives and offers enhanced processability, improved crack and shrink resistance, and permeability reduction. The coarse particle size of Vertal AF allows low dust, high bulk density, and minimum effects on viscosity of the melt/liquid media/carrier. Vertal AF is a sustainable product that has been validated by UL Environment, Inc. (ULE) to bear the Environmental Claim Validation (ECV) Logo and contains a minimum of 100% pre consumer recycled content. Vertal AF has been included on the ULE Sustainable Products Database.
