MAGRIS TALC

Mistron Vapor RE is high purity micronized microcrystalline talc. Mistron Vapor RE is used in rubber, coating, and adhesive and sealant formulations. Mistron Vapor RE is available in powder, densified, and compacted forms to accommodate various raw materials handling requirements. Mistron Vapor RE is off-white, high purity, platy, very fine talc, which provides optimum balance of reinforcement and processability in rubber applications due to its unique microcrystalline structure and engineered particle size distribution. It is the optimum talc product for black rubber compounds, and for partial replacement of carbon black. Mistron Vapor RE improves processability, mechanical properties, and permeability resistance of rubber compounds. It is used to reduce viscosity, reduce nerve, increase extrusion rate and quality plus improve dispersion of carbon black and precipitated silica. Mistron Vapor RE reinforces rubber compounds and improves tensile properties, fatigue, toughness, and durability. The platy structure of Mistron Vapor RE significantly enhances barrier properties. Mistron Vapor RE balances reinforcement with processability, providing lower compound viscosity, improved extrusion quality and rate, and reduced die swell and nerve. Mistron Vapor RE improves impermeability and swell resistance and the aging properties of thermoset rubber compounds.

Mistron ZSC is off-white, high purity, platy, fine talc that is surface treated for improved dispersion and hydrophobicity as well as die lubrication in plastics and rubber applications. Mistron ZSC is used in plastics application to increase stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability, and in rubber applications to reduce viscosity, improve processing, and reduce die plate-out. Mistron ZSC is also used for micro cellar foam nucleation in polymeric foams, and for improving water resistance and electrical properties in wire and cable applications.

Nicron 002 is high purity microcrystalline talc. The lamellar nature of Nicron 002 enhances film strength and flexibility in sealant formulations and provides barrier properties in architectural and industrial primers and topcoats to improve corrosion resistance and stain-blocking ability. Nicron 002 is used in topcoats, block fillers, traffic paints, texture paints, and composite compounds. Nicron 002 also recommended for rheology and reinforcement in adhesives, caulks, joint compounds, auto body patch, and putties.

Nicron 302 is a high purity, 3-Hegman microcrystalline talc product with low oil adsorption and minimal viscosity build. Nicron 302 is part of the Engineered series of Magris Talc products that have unique particle size distributions for improved paint performance properties. Nicron 302 is an excellent choice for protective coatings applications due to its hydrophobic nature, very low mineral solubility, and proven anti-corrosion performance. Nicron 302 disperses easily in high-solids and solvent-borne coatings, and gives very good paint stability, rheology, and anti-settling properties. Nicron 302 has demonstrated excellent weathering properties in both solvent-borne and waterborne paints. Nicron 302 is recommended for architectural flat exterior latex paints for low sheen, good touch-up, and good fade- and chalk-resistance. Nicron 302 could also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agent to improve stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability. In rubber, it acts as a dusting/parting agent.
