Nicron 353

Nicron 353

coatings talc

Nicron 353 is a high-purity microcrystalline talc. The lamellar nature of Nicron 353 enhances film strength and flexibility and provides barrier properties in architectural and industrial primers to improve corrosion resistance and stain-blocking ability. Nicron 353 also is used for rheology and film reinforcement in adhesive, sealant, caulk, joint compound, wood putty, and auto body patch applications. Nicron 353 could also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agent to improve stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability. In rubber, it acts as a dusting/parting agent.

Nicron 402

Nicron 402

coatings talc

Nicron 402 is a high purity, 4-Hegman microcrystalline talc product with low oil adsorption and minimal viscosity build. Nicron 402 is part of the Engineered series of Imerys Talc products that have unique particle size distributions for improved paint performance properties. Nicron 402 is an excellent choice for modern protective coatings applications due to its hydrophobic nature, very low mineral solubility, and proven anti-corrosion performance. Nicron 402 disperses easily in high-solids and solvent-borne coatings, and gives very good paint stability, rheology, and anti-settling properties. Nicron 402 has demonstrated excellent weathering properties in both solvent-borne and waterborne paints. Nicron 402 is recommended for architectural flat exterior latex paints for low sheen, good touch-up, and good fade- and chalk-resistance. Additional technical and performance information are available upon request. Nicron 402 could also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agent to improve stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability. In rubber, it acts as a dusting/parting agent.

coatings talc

Nicron 403 is high purity microcrystalline talc. The lamellar nature of Nicron 403 enhances film strength and flexibility and provides barrier properties in architectural and industrial primers and topcoats to improve corrosion resistance and stain-blocking ability. Nicron 403 is also used in paints to improve sag resistance and maximize prime pigment extension. Nicron 403 is used in solid color and semi-transparent wood stains to prevent tannin bleed and improve gloss uniformity without introducing abrasive characteristics. Nicron 403 could also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agent to improve stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability. In rubber, it acts as a dusting/parting agent.
