MAGRIS TALC

Silverline 604 is a high purity microcrystalline talc designed for non-color sensitive applications. The lamellar nature of Silverline 604 enhances film strength and flexibility, and provides barrier properties in architectural and industrial primers and topcoats to improve corrosion resistance and stain-blocking ability. Silverline 604 also is used in paints to improve sag resistance and maximize prime pigment extension. Silverline 604 could also be used in plastics to enhance stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability. In rubber, it reduces viscosity, improves processing, and acts as a dusting/parting agent.

Stellar 420 is bright, high purity, very platy talc recommended for improving stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability in general purpose plastics applications requiring higher brightness. Stellar 420 is used mainly in commodity plastics applications, especially in polypropylene, where maximum reinforcement can be achieved at loadings as high as 20% to 40% while also achieving good long-term thermal stability (heat aging). Stellar 420 is also used as dusting/parting agent for white rubber goods including roofing membranes and wire and cable applications

Stellar 510 is high brightness, high purity, very platy talc recommended for color matching and color consistency plus improving stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability in general purpose plastics, including sheets and thermoformed products. Stellar 510 is used mainly in plastics applications, including rigid packaging and appliances, to maximize reinforcement at talc loadings as high as 20% to 40%, especially where higher brightness is required. It could also allow achieving good long-term thermal stability (heat aging).

Suprafino H USP is high-brightness, high-purity, pharmaceutical grade talc. Suprafino H USP is specially treated to control microbial organisms. Suprafino H USP is used as an inert filler in tablet formulations and as a lubricant/glidant in tablet (enteric) coatings. Suprafino H USP is bacterially controlled and conforms to current USP Monograph requirements for talc as well as to FCC and PCPC (CTFA) specifications. Suprafino H USP is manufactured according to the IPEC Excipient GMP guidelines.

Talcoliva M10DT2 is a fine, high-purity, microcrystalline talc used to enhance the performance of olive oil extraction. Talc adsorbs the emulsifiers in the olive, allowing the oil to separate and be recovered at lower temperatures and better quality. The product is available in Imerys new Dispersible Talc (DT) form which allows for better dispersion in aqueous systems.
