MAGRIS TALC

Talcoliva TF is high purity, platy talc. Added to the olive paste at the mixing stage, Talcoliva TF: absorbs the droplets of oil retained in the cell walls, thus forming larger drops and increasing the amount of free oil; prevents the formation of emulsions and breaks up emulsions that have already formed; facilitates the break-up of microgels; improves the oil extraction yield; increases plant production capacity; enables the oil-extraction process to be run at a lower temperature (20° – 25°C); improves oil clarity during the horizontal centrifugation stage by sweeping the fine particles from the oil ring for removal with the pomace.

Vertal 202 is a highly lamellar talc/carbonate mineral pigment. Vertal 202 provides a unique balance of prime pigment spacing (opacity), flatting efficiency, film reinforcement, and anti-cracking and barrier properties for architectural and decorative coatings. Vertal 202 is recommended in architectural flat latex paints, contractor-grade flat latex paints, and high %PVC applications where a higher brightness, 2-hegman, lamellar mineral pigment is required. Vertal 202 could also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agent to improve stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability. In rubber, it acts as a dusting/parting agent.

Vertal 503 is a highly lamellar talc/carbonate mineral pigment that provides a unique balance of prime pigment spacing (opacity), film reinforcement, and anti-cracking and barrier properties to architectural and decorative coatings. Vertal 503 is especially suited for waterborne paints and primers where a 5-Hegman, low oil-adsorption, platy mineral pigment is required.

Vertal 7 is a highly lamellar talc/carbonate mineral pigment. Vertal 7 provides a unique balance of prime pigment spacing (opacity), film reinforcement, and anti-cracking and barrier properties to architectural and decorative coatings. Vertal 7 is especially suited for waterborne paints, universal primers, stain-blocking primers, sealers, and undercoaters. Vertal 7 is also a good choice for low-VOC alkyd primers. Vertal 7 could also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agent to improve stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability. In rubber, it acts as a dusting/parting agent.
