SYNTEVEN 728 AE is a very reactive high gloss styrene-free allyl unsaturated polyester resin of the “direct gloss” type, dissolved in Ethyl Acetate. SYNTEVEN 728 AE is used in the formulation of clear and pigmented direct gloss varnishes for wood and for the furniture sector thanks to its good sandability, ensuring a high film hardness and an excellent aesthetic result. SYNTEVEN 728 AE can be crosslinked by means of traditional catalysis, accelerator/peroxide, or with U.V. crosslinking. due to the use of acrylic monomers see e.g. PEG 200 DMA and HPMA. SYNTEVEN 728 AE is compatible with esters and acetates; however, to avoid incompatibility phenomena it is advisable to carry out preliminary tests.

SYNTEVEN 750 is an orthophthalic unsaturated polyester resin dissolved in styrene with medium viscosity and high reactivity, designed for use in molding processes defined as vacuum closed mold such as SMC, BMC, and RTM applications and can be used in combination with different types of low-profile additives. Furthermore, it can be used for general purposes with excellent wettability of filled systems used for molding and injection. SYNTEVEN 750 provides remarkable mechanical and thermal properties and is thickened with magnesium oxide-based paste which stabilizes differentiated reactivity. However, to avoid unexpected incompatibility phenomena we recommend carrying out preliminary tests.

SYNTEVEN 751 is a pure maleic unsaturated polyester resin dissolved in styrene, of medium viscosity and high reactivity. SYNTEVEN 751 is used for “molding” & “closed mold” processes such as SMC, BMC, and RTM applications and can be used in combination with different types of “low profile” low shrinkage additives. Magnesium oxide and magnesium hydroxide pastes are commonly used for densification of SMC and BMC as well as relining applications. SYNTEVEN 751 provides very good mechanical and thermal properties suitable. However, to avoid unexpected incompatibility phenomena we recommend carrying out preliminary tests.

SYNTEVEN 918 is an isophthalic/NPG unsaturated polyester resin dissolved in styrene with high reactivity, neutral with medium-low viscosity, ideal for the composite sector where high chemical and hydrolysis resistance is required together with atmospheric agents, very low porosity, and high resistance to hydrolysis. SYNTEVEN 918 shows characteristics of thermal stability, chemical resistance and ability and good processability; applications include the markets in Transportation (large body parts for automobiles, trucks, trailers, buses), Marine (small and large boat hulls and other marine equipment), Construction (panels, bathtubs, and showers), Home Appliances etc. SYNTEVEN 918 is indicated for the production of specific industrial uses such as compounds and fiber-reinforced plastics and fiber-reinforced Gel-coats.
